THE ROLE: 

The Development Kit Manager entails responsibilities for working with ODM(s), IHVs, and OSVs to develop business and engineering strategies that compliment AMD’s initiatives; as well as enabling product development in building AMD’s enterprise platform ecosystem. Candidate will evangelize AMD technology, create, and track EPYC engineering programs success and enable industry partners to launch their ecosystems alongside AMD EPYC products. In this highly collaborative role, you will work with engineering, product marketing, finance, legal and executive teams.  

 

THE PERSON: 

The ideal candidate will possess a breadth of abilities and skills. We are looking for a person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Someone that can work independently as well as part of a team. With outstanding organizational and time management skills, balancing multiple priorities. You must also have the ability to cultivate strong internal and external relationships.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Deep understanding of preproduction development of silicon and server products 
  • Partner with other AMD subject matter authorities to tackle specific customer challenges 
  • Lead technical sessions; architect and detail technical solutions that are aligned with end user objectives 
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure the N+1 development kits are comprehensive and satisfy the needs of a wide range of industry hardware and software vendors 
  • Gather a solid understanding of the server ecosystem to best enable external customers with tools, reference servers, and pre-production silicon 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Proven experience as an engineer or equivalent technical role balanced with experience in a customer facing role 
  • Proven knowledge in any of the market verticals 
  • Expertise in software or hardware development
  • Strong presentation abilities  

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience preferred
