THE ROLE: 

The focus of this role is to analyze, architect, specify and collaborate to develop configuration solutions for dynamically reconfigurable silicon for AMD's next-gen Adaptive SoC & FGPA products.     

 

THE PERSON: 

You have a passion for modern, complex hetrogenous architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, and software engineers to understand new features and develop configuration solutions for them
  • Cross-functional HW/SW/FW role requiring close interaction with development and verification teams
  • Define and develop configuration code required for configuration solution and used by verification and software 
  • Build config test-plan, accounting for interactions of programmable hardware IPs such as AI/ML accelerator, NoC, Programmable Logic, Processor, memory interfaces, and high-speed IOs 
  • Review performance & functional coverage metrics for configuration solutions 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Must have knowledge of silicon IP configuration and control
  • Must be fluent in Verilog and/or System Verilog
  • Proficient in debugging Firmware and RTL using simulation tools  
  • Familiarity with machine-readable register methodologies is a plus (JSON/IP-XACT/SystemRDL).
  • Familiarity with Perl/Python/C++ is desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • BS or MS or PhD degree in Computer, Electrical or Equivalent Engineering
  • Relevant work/research experience preferred
