As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be part of the development team for Tom Clancy’s The Division, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Star Wars Outlaws. Your primary role will be to design, implement and operate a global scale game server infrastructure for the mentioned AAA online games. You will work closely with stakeholders at Massive as well as within the Ubisoft group across the globe, to help ship a great online experience for our players using the latest technologies available.

We're offering a permanent position in Malmö, Sweden, with the flexibility to work partially from home (up to two days a week) under our Flexible Workplace Policy. Please apply using English, our company's primary language.

 

What You'll Do:

 

  • Designing, implementing, and operating a highly scalable, global and efficient game server infrastructure
  • Improving and maintaining our monitoring and alerting capabilities, ensuring timely detection and response to potential issues.
  • Partnering with development teams to improve services
  • Collaborating with other IT engineers, stakeholders, and external vendors to implement, upgrade or integrate existing or new systems.
  • Creating sustainable systems and services through infrastructure automation
  • Managing incidents and partake in the on-call rotation

You enjoy working and collaborating with a team, who are open to new ideas and are learning and experimenting together to come up with creative and innovative ways of solving technical problems.

Besides the above we’re looking for someone aligned with our core values  and the following skills and experience:

 

  • Cloud service providers like Azure (preffered), GCP, AWS
  • Familiarity with software development using Go as well as Python languages
  • Infrastructure orchestration using Terraform
  • Networking expertise, including VPCs, VPN, DNS, firewalls, and load balancers within the context of cloud providers
  • Secret and certificate management, such as Hashicorp Vault
  • CI/CD Pipelines with Packer, Git/Gitlab
  • Experience deploying and maintaining service and infrastructure monitoring using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK stack
  • Expertise in Kubernetes for container orchestration is beneficial
  • Previous experience with RDBMS is beneficial (ie. PostgreSQL)
  • Linux experience is beneficial
