THE ROLE: 

As a member of the Radeon Technologies Group, you will help bring to life cutting-edge designs. As a member of the front-end design/integration team, you will work closely with the architecture, IP design, and IP verification teams to achieve first pass silicon success.

THE PERSON:

You have a passion for verifying modern, complex processor architecture and digital design. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites / time zones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.

 

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Understand the architecture of the graphics IP and functional block being designed.
  • Influence and drive the verification environment architecture with a team of engineers.
  • Develop reference models for the functionality, performance, and power behavior of the design.
  • Write tests and debug functional, performance, and power related issues.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers.

REFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong knowledge of Verilog / SystemVerilog and C / C++.
  • Must have good English hearing, speaking, reading and writing capabilities.
  • Experience in building UVM and constrained-random simulation environments.
  • Must have good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with 3D pipeline and industry graphics standards (DX/OGL/OCL) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and good coding skills are required.
  • Experience using industry standard tools and adaptability to utilize home grown tools.
  • Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Master's degree preferred with experience in ASIC / IP development
