Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring SMTS Product Application Engineer to:
Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products. Work closely with customers as well as internal development, and systems engineering teams to assist and address issue reported by ODM/OEM customers, including training, and enabling customers and ecosystem partners with critical knowledge of AMD technologies and platforms, and driving the best practices to reduce time-to-revenue, and successfully scale AMD business. Participate in joint customer system power on. Triage and debug customer and internally reported issues including system hangs and errors, regressions, and performance issues. Develop and execute test plans. Drive task force meetings to accelerate issue resolution as needed. Communicate issue resolution with root cause analysis to customers. Provide customers technical training on debug tools. Analyze technical issues and generate creative solutions. Provide on-site support to speed up issue closure to meet overall project schedule. Utilize experience and knowledge of post-silicon validation and debugging and x86 architecture. Prepare engineering specification for production of products and/or systems. Work with engineers, customers, or other stakeholders to discuss existing or potential electronics engineering projects or products. Evaluate project work to ensure effectiveness, technical adequacy, or compatibility in the resolution of complex electronics engineering problems. Exercise independent judgment to select methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results with little to no supervision. Provide status reports on customer program schedules, and status and key issues. Utilize unique knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, design techniques, tools, and principles to contribute to the development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.

Must have two (2) years of experience in the following:
- Hardware verification
- Functional verification of microprocessors
- Unix/Linux environments
- Python
- CPU architecture
- Linux/Windows internals

- X86-64 architecture
- Post silicon validation and debug
