SMTS SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER
Key Technical Skills:
- Well versed with concepts of Instruction Set Architecture (ISA)
- Hands-on in assembly level programming
- Thorough understanding of CPU/GPGPU architecture, especially of processor/shader subsystem and associated interfaces
- Strong programming skills in C++/C, and scripting skills in Perl/Python
- Knowledge in basic probability and randomization techniques
- Familiarity with SystemVerilog/Verilog, instruction traces is a plus
- Familiarity with compiler design techniques is a bonus
Key Personal Traits:
- Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision, either as an individual or in team
- Passionate to work in computer/graphics architecture domain
- Excellent interpersonal skills, growth oriented and collaborative mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding of architecture and micro-architecture changes of blocks in shader core and associated subsystems, and interfaces for new features
- Understanding of ISA-feature mapping for the new features to write sanity/unit tests
- Work with verification, modeling, and design engineers of shader subsystem to understand their requirements
- Work includes development of testbench stimulus generator infrastructure
- Add new constraints to the stimulus generator and verify them by writing sanity/unit tests
- Brainstorm and propose enhancements to the existing infrastructure for other applications
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
