SMTS SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER

THE ROLE:
 

As a member of the GFX IP Architectural Modeling team, you will work closely with the Architects, IP Design, Software and Infrastructure teams, and product engineers to achieve first pass silicon success.

THE PERSON:

A successful candidate will work with senior silicon design engineers. The candidate will be highly accurate and detail-oriented, possessing good communication and problem-solving skills.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Performance Modeling and Development of GFX IP Simulators
  • Synthetic Testcases Creation, Performance Verification
  • Performance Characterization of HPC/ML workloads
  • Middleware Driver/Firmware/Hardware Interface Management, Queues and Memory Management
  • Runtime Profiling and Debugging Tools
  • Post silicon support to ensure successful silicon bring up

DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE:

      • GFX IP fundamentals, ISA Compilers and Translators,
      • Data Structures, Algorithms and Graph Theory,
      • GPU Shader Programming Knowledge
      • Cache/Memory Subsystem, Drivers and Memory Management, Workload Scheduling mechanism,
      • Functional and Performance Models using C/C++

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelors/Masters and/or PhD in Computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
