THE ROLE:
AMD is looking for a strategic software engineering lead who is passionate about SW design, quality, and performance. You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the re-design of business critical SW in support of accelerated product velocity while holding to high quality results
- Drive overall SW design and key implementation details to meet design objectives and quality metrics
- Execute projects by leading small group along with hands-on participation
- Develop test plan, test infrastructure, and unit testing to ensure thorough verification of functionalities and features
- Monitor and drive activities on SW runtime and memory optimizations
- Introduce and influence the use of best practices and new technologies suited for development needs
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Extensive C++ and SW development background
- Experience in re-design and re-factoring of complex code base
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in leading a small team and cross functional team collaboration
- Desired experiences: EDA, FPGA, and large scale SW
ACADEMIC CREDETIALS:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
