Software Development Engineer - 163262

The Role:

The successful candidate will be involved in research, implementation and optimization of new and existing techniques involving computer graphics, multimedia and network streaming that push the limits of AMD’s GPUs and CPUs. Develop production-level code, technical demos to showcase the results and user documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be working on Streaming SDK - a kit for crafting high quality/low latency streaming solutions using AMD GPUs. This includes game, video, VR streaming and VDI solutions. You will also contribute to other SDKs, such as AMF.

Preferred Experience:

• Strong C++, STL
• Multithreading
• Solid understanding of Windows and Linux
• Strong debugging and problem solving skills

Highly desired skills:

• Understanding of video and audio compression/codecs
• Understanding of IP networking, sockets
• IPC mechanisms
• Graphical APIs (Direct-X, Vulkan, OpenGL)
• Experience with Android and iOS app development
• Knowledge of various encryption algorithms and internet security
• Understanding of Web technologies, HTTP
• A great teammate who has great communication skills both verbal and written

Academic Credentials:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electric/Computer Engineering
