The opportunity
We are thrilled to invite you to an exciting opportunity to join our Platform Support team, where you will be responsible for backporting bugfixes to different versions of Unity. Backporting involves taking changes from the newest Unity version and adapting them for older branches, including Long Term Support (LTS) releases. Given that LTS versions are the most stable and widely used, your contributions directly impact the quality and user experience for a majority of Unity’s users.

What you'll be doing

• Some backports might involve merge conflicts, where your analytical skills will come into play. With guidance from the team, you’ll debug, resolve conflicts, modify Unity’s source code, and test your changes to ensure they meet Unity’s high quality standard

What we're looking for

• Professional experience working with platforms (Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo Switch).
• Knowledge of C++ and C# languages.
• Knowledge of the Unity editor.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes

You might also have

• Experience working with Github and Git
• Experience with platforms, specifically building and running Unity projects on:Mobile: Android, iOS
• Standalone players: Windows, MacOS, Linux
