As a Software Engineer I on our team, you will deliver methods and data definitions, as well as contribute to significant parts of product components to improve and augment the player experience. A successful teammate in this position can fix bugs in their own code as well as take ownership of their work.

What You’ll Take On

  • Implement algorithms and data structures, with guidance, on schedule and with minimal defects.
  • Deliver strong code with an eye towards performance, data, maintainability, and stability.
  • Participate in planning, scheduling, and work estimation efforts.
  • Write tests, documentation, perform and receive code reviews, and check in code.
  • Maintain high standards by demonstrating good practices for code reviews, software design, documentation, testing, and quality software implementation.
  • Build lightweight tools or internal applications on an as needed basis.
  • Participate in the interview process as needed.

What You Bring

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proficiency with C++.
  • Experience on a shipped or independently developed game project.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, with the desire and ability to work closely with a diverse team of peers.
  • Eagerness to learn, with the ability to apply constructive feedback.
  • Sound judgement and capability to know when to engage a more senior team member to tackle problems.
  • Familiarity with the Unity or Unreal Game Engines beneficial.
  • Experience with game console development platforms, such as for the Xbox or Playstation beneficial.

The pay range for this position in Washington at the start of employment is expected to be between $55,000 and $85,000 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees will also receive 14 paid holidays per calendar year, are eligible to earn a minimum of 15 days of vacation leave per year (subject to proration based on start date during the calendar year) and will receive 10 sick days per calendar year. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
