Remedy Entertainment, the creator of Control®, Max Payne®, Alan Wake® and one of the leading independent game studios in the world is looking for a Software Test Engineer to create high quality gaming experiences for the next generation of games


While working as a Software Test Engineer, you will be in a key role testing our game development tools and engine, reporting your findings and making sure that we deliver top notch quality.


Your responsibilities will include executing test passes on tools and engine features, identifying defect root causes and reporting them in detail, as well as proactively spotting and understanding the pain points in each phase of our development cycle.

To this end, you will collaborate closely with developers from different teams such as programmers and designers. In addition to identifying and reporting issues, you will also create and maintain tests and test plans.

What you bring to the role
  • You have a strong background in software testing
  • You have experience with complex software systems
  • You have experience with bug tracking and test management systems
  • You thrive working in a team environment, sharing ideas and learning from others. You are used to collaborating with colleagues across different departments and you are able to communicate and present your ideas in a clear and coherent way. As a team member you are dedicated contributing towards a friendly and inclusive work environment. 
  • You can also work independently, being organized and able to document your work.  

The ideal candidate will also have

  • Programming skills, especially in languages such as C# and C++
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Lua
  • Experience with test automation, game engines and version control systems
