THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Benefits Director, the Sr. Benefits Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and completing the analyst responsibilities for the US Benefits department. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assistance with employee time off programs, health and welfare, and retirement plans. The US Benefits Analyst will also provide excellent customer service to employees and HR colleagues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Point of contact for time away programs. Provide exemplary experience to AMDers as they prepare for leave, during a leave and upon their return to work
  • Oversee disability programs and ensure compliance with all federal and state legislation including the interactive process under ADA and FEHA
  • Process death claims and support employee or dependents/beneficiaries in a high touch manner
  • Manage benefits transactions and work with vendors to resolve employee needs
  • Serve as a liaison to insurance carriers regarding claim inquiries or discrepancies
  • Respond to Tier II level benefit queries
  • Assist with weekly New Hire Onboarding to help answer benefits-related questions
  • Support HRIS and Vendor Technical Teams to ensure seamless integration, testing and to resolve issues
  • Assist in compliance efforts with the program managers – audits and reconciliations
  • Provide regular reporting on US Benefit programs
  • Support program managers with other projects as needed

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Passionate about supporting employees through all benefits needs
  • Ability to resolve benefits issues and communicate observations effectively both verbally and in writing to management and all levels of employees
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and maturity to handle sensitive information
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy
  • Progressive experience in US benefits or customer service role
  • Medical or leave administration background preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
