THE ROLE:

The CPG HW Design Platform team is looking for Hardware Designer with Hands on experience in Hardware design and experience in performing SI/PI simulations. Ideal candidate would be working with Hardware design and SI/PI simulations.

THE PERSON:

This person should be self-driven and demonstrated good technical skills with successful HW Systems designs. A strong written and verbal communicator with strong problem solving skills along with professional interpersonal communication skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for hardware design project deliverables like design specifications, schematics, BOM and testing
• Work with cross function teams and participate in understanding the design requirements, design the system/ subsystem and participate in the design reviews
• Should have experience in component selection and work with vendors in finalizing the components that meets the design requirements.
• Interact with PCB layout teams, finalize the component placement and make sure that the routing guidelines followed
• The hardware designer should also have good understanding of the Signal Integrity and Power Integrity requirements
• Should have exposure to the SI/PI analysis and should be able to perform the simulations using any of the tools like Hyperlynx, Sigrity, ADS and HSPICE
• Support PCB CAD designers with Layout routing rules for highspeed interfaces
• Should be able to support on the decoupling strategy and analysis, PDN Optimization

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Good at electronic systems design, troubleshooting and testing
• Hands on experience on the schematics capture using Cadence or Mentor Tools
• Hands on experience with PCB CAD tools for layout reviews
• Industry working experiences on interface protocols like USB, PCIe gen4/5, Ethernet, DDRx and LPDDRx
• Hands on experience in signal integrity, SI and PDN simulation.
• Familiarity with SI tools like Hyperlynx, Sigrity or ANSYS tools
• Hands-on lab experiences using real time scope, TDR, and spectrum analyzer.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• B.Tech/BE/Master or Ph.D Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
