SENIOR MACHINE LEARNING ENGINEER  

THE ROLE: 

AMD is looking for AI/ML experts for growing ML/AI Solutions team, located in Hyderabad, India. Successful candidate is going to play a key role to provide seamless end-to-end AI/ML Solutions and working with cutting edge network architectures like CNN, RNN, NLP (BERT, Transformer) or any custom network, and mapping them into AMD Next Generation Devices. Candidate will work on system development, performance simulations and optimization, developing SW framework and application. The candidate will work in a highly cross-functional R&D environment, interacting with HW and SW engineering teams, internal acceleration application teams and tier-1&2 customer to enable high performance machine learning networks (CNN/NLP/DNN/RNN). The team is dynamic and fast paced offering each of its members tremendous personal opportunity to grow their knowledge and skills in Machine Learning complex problem solving, product development and system engineering.

THE PERSON:

• Candidate having good understanding on machine learning algorithms and frameworks
• Understanding of Deep Neural Network architectures like CNN, RNN etc.
• Understanding on AI framework like Pytorch, Tensorflow, Caffe, etc.
• Understanding on standard machine learning Models such as RestNet, Transformer, SSD, BERT, DLRM and Reinforcement Learning.
• Knowledge of Acceleration Platform like GPU, TPU, APU, AIE, FPGAs.
• Experience in optimizing Machine Learning application for a target architecture is a plus.
• Team player with ability to work across a diverse team, also cross-functionally and in geographically distributed teams.
• Strong SW programming skills in python
• Strong Analytical skills
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Learn and work on the state of the art AI-ML based compiler tools chain, varying across front-end, back-end, optimizations, performance and debug related work exploration. 
• Work with ML/AI solution team to speedup overall team development works.
• Explore industry standard network architectures like NLP (BERT, Transformer), CNN, RNN or any custom network, and mapping them into AMD Next Generation Devices.
• Work on system development, performance simulations and optimization, developing SW framework and application.
• Collaborate closely with multiple ML/AI teams to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support them
• Help contribute to the AI/ML design and implementation of future architecture for a highly scalable, durable, and innovative system

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in Python, ML frameworks (Pytorch or Tensorflow or others)

• Solid understanding of Software Engineering principles, Data structure, algorithms, and multithread programming 
• Solid understanding of ML Models such as ResNet, Transformer, SSD, Bert, DLRM, and Reinforcement Learning
• Excellent design and code development skills, familiarity with Linux and modern software tools and techniques for development 
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science/Analytics or related technical discipline
