The Role:

The AECG Group at AMD is looking for a passionate, collaborative leader with strong technical skills and business acumen to motivate and drive a team of product engineers and PLMs to grow and build the Alveo portfolio of Datacenter products.

 

The Person

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for hardware strategy, product definition, and management from concept through production for the Alveo Datacenter products.

The candidate will report to the Director and lead the team to primarily work with senior engineering, global operations, segment marketing, and sales teams to drive business goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new product introduction (NPI) for the Alveo product line across stakeholder groups such as hardware and software engineering, GoQ, business operations, and sales to maximize product revenues.
  • Drive Alveo accelerator GTM strategy with segment marketing including product launch plans and execution, positioning/messaging, sales training, and product collateral.
  • Drive cross-functional global team to resolve any product-related issues and elevate customer satisfaction levels that enable key design wins for the business unit.
  • Collaborate with platform planning and technical marketing team to define, plan, and deliver customer-centric reference designs for Alveo accelerator cards.
  • Collaborate with segment marketing, and engineering teams to drive new Alveo DC card product definition.
  • Define the next level of team leadership and growth plan. Recruit talented candidates to strengthen team capability and potential.
  • Serve as the product team lead for the Alveo DC accelerator cards.

Preferred Experience:

  • 15+ years of work experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably with a strong background in FPGAs and board-level products.
  • 10+ years of experience focused on product definition, managing, and supporting hardware products.
  • Enthusiastic leader with a proactive approach to increasing sales, gaining market share and improving the profitability of products.
  • Experience working with Enterprise and Hyperscale Data Center customers.
  • Possess strong critical thinking, and analytical skills, and the ability to drive resolution in ambiguous situations.
  • Experience defining, using, and driving improvements in new processes to improve efficiency.
  • Proven success to understand market dynamics and develop and refine accurate product deliveries.
  • Strong leadership and management skills
