The Role
The Strategic Marketing Manager will be responsible for establishing the joint AMD and partner Marketing/GTM strategy, driving product launch strategy and execution, aligning the Marketing/GTM strategy to the MDF spend plan, and driving the strategy and execution of key Global and Sales events in all regions. This responsibility includes building critical relationships with key stakeholders at both AMD and the partner, representing the AMD POV within the partner and the partner POV within AMD, driving both partners’ resources to enable key launches, knowing and merging the AMD value proposition into the partner messaging to ensure a succinct delivery of the combined value that AMD and the partner deliver together. Additionally, this role’s objective is to establish, deepen, and broaden relationships with key marketing, alliance, and business unit partners, becoming a trusted advisor representing the AMD and the partner’s relationship, deliver key sales and customer deliverables, as well as maintain consistent Executive level reporting on activities and progress towards business objectives.
The Person
This role requires an experienced B2B marketing leader, who is savvy at navigating sophisticated partnerships and matrixed organizations, is an adaptive learner and is comfortable leading multi-stakeholder projects. You are comfortable working cross-functionally to understand business objectives and the B2B customer journey, to help develop marketing that impacts the bottom line. You are a can-do, execution focused problem-solver; you are inquisitive, have an improvement mentality, and love testing new ideas to gain marketing insights. The person also has experience in outbound marketing – from launches to campaigns, web, and content – with knowledge of various business models, marketing channels to effectively orchestrate launch, marketing programs and plans. The ideal candidate is a leader with strong influencing skills at all levels of the organization; is a critical thinker who is responsible and highly organized. The candidate will need to understand business/market context and partner priorities and be able to translate AMD objectives into a relevant co-marketing strategy and plan.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner Engagement
- Expand AMD brand awareness, consideration, and preference amongst ITDMs through strategic co-marketing initiatives
- Consult with key partner stakeholders to develop marketing programs that will create rapid, measurable sales growth
- Represent AMD’s marketing strategy and identify areas of constructive collaboration with partners’ marketing direction to develop win-win opportunities
- Work and collaborate in lockstep regional Marketing teams to develop co-marketing programs crafted to drive demand and sales velocity through several routes to market
- Lead development and refinement of joint value propositions and co-messaging
- Orchestrate the execution of the strategy working with marketing and events teams, partners’ teams, and 3rd party vendors
- Lead partner marketing-to-marketing interactions to drive AMD brand and value proposition within content and commercial marketing engines
- Ensure prompt and relevant communications about AMD marketing strategy, partnering opportunities and other updates to the partner’s marketing, alliances, and product contacts
- Communicate funding guidelines (if applicable) and own WW plan roll-ups
- Build strong links and relationships between AMD and partner commercial marketing engines, alliances, and launch teams
- Review all content for messaging and brand consistency
- Internal Engagement
- Advise and influence alignment and management of co-marketing funds and programs with the partner.
- Be the primary interface representing the partner within AMD internal marketing forums, driving partner’s needs internally
- Identify partner planning cycles to deliver AMD information in alignment with partner timelines
- Ensure partner is represented as appropriate in AMD marketing efforts (product launches, website, etc.) and lead execution of launch activities of key platforms
- Work with AMD teams and with partner to measure effectiveness of programs, applying findings for future programs and campaigns
- Develop and maintain marketing calendar for internal alignment with regions
- Lead efforts for collaborative QMRs to align Marketing activities and strategies with key stakeholders
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Be knowledgeable about the dynamics of the partner’s organizations to understand their market, goals, issues, timeline, and opportunities to improve AMD marketing efficiency & integration within their campaigns
- Marketing experience working at the OEM partner or directly partnering with them
- Consistent record of working at both the strategic and program management/tactical level to market enterprise-class technology products and solutions
- Outstanding collaborator, open to ideas/iterations, adept at driving internal alignment
- In depth understanding of partner marketing/sales structure and operational models
- Meticulous, with experience using quantitative and qualitative insights to improve marketing results
Academic Credentials
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing preferred, MBA a plus
