Functional Validation Staff Program Manager
THE ROLE:
The Functional Validation Staff Program Manager is a leadership position within AMD’s EPYC CPU validation team. The position reports to the Senior Director of Engineering and is responsible for tracking, driving, and planning across staff. Duties will include responsibilities such as test plan, content, and execution tracking within the team. It will also include driving annual plan budget cycles. Receiving and driving scoping of new features and projects as well as occasional reports to senior management is within the scope. Additionally, definition of processes within the team will be a responsibility.
THE PERSON:
The candidate should have post silicon experience with a high degree of discipline and accountability. Experience leading small technical teams and post silicon validation experience is a plus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive processes within the post silicon validation staff
- Track and drive test plan progress
- Track and drive test content development
- Monitor and drive critical paths during feature enabling exercises.
- Driving deep dive issue resolution meetings
- Assisting with team hiring and on boarding exercises
- Receiving incoming scooping requests for new products and features then distributing these for deeper technical analysis.
- Reporting on special projects to senior managers
- Driving and maintaining budget in annual plan cycle
- Cross team initiative driving within the post silicon teams
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Technical post silicon leadership
- Program management
- Must be a self-starting team player with excellent communication skills who can work with minimal guidance
- Forward thinker that drives improvement to processes
- Strong verbal and written English communication skillS
ACAMEDIC CREDENTIALS:
- BS or MSEE degree.
- Demonstrated work experience in validation and in particular validation execution in automated environments
- 10+ years of experience in post silicon development
