Sr. Program Manager (Platform Emulation)



Program Manager will be responsible for managing, planning and execution of Pre-Silicon ( emulation) engineering activities targeted to reduce AMD product Time to Market by enabling Firmware/Software Readiness prior Silicon. The candidate must demonstrate flexibility, strong motivation and a proven record of meeting aggressive deadlines, working with demanding customers as well as the ability to work as part of global cross functional team. Manages interdependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders. Has decision making authority at the program level. This role will include working with global functional teams that architect, design, develop, and support AMD Data Center GPU and Accelerated Processor products with emphasis on emulation activities to establish schedules, mitigate risk, manage progress, and report status. In this capacity the candidate is expected to work with teams across the company that ensure dependency deliverables are met so that the functional teams work is not blocked or delayed.



Technically oriented individual with strong project/program management experience. Someone willing to learn new  technical areas of this role. Very skilled at running cross functional team discussions. Excellent communicator and  presenter.



Responsible for managing program level emulation deliverables, and related dependencies, ensuring Boot code/firmware/OS commitment is on schedule and goals for overall emulation pre-silicon is achieved.

Responsibilities include defining and managing key deliverables/schedules and driving cross functional activities to achieve high quality deliverables to internal teams

Primary contact for platform emulation deliverables and issue status for AMD internal teams

Foster relationships with emulation stakeholders across the organization, Firmware and driver development teams, HW design and validation teams, while managing expectations across groups.

Advocate strong process discipline for emulation activities, including issue tracking, issue triaging and priority calls.

Ensure appropriate progress against schedule and takes remedial action as appropriate

Align with AMD cross-functional teams (Design, Platform Emulation, Model Build, Bootrom, Firmware, Driver, Application and Validation) on requirements, schedules, and deliverables, as well as communicating same

Maintain awareness of, and provide status reports on platform emulation readiness, status, and key issues

Identify program risks and coordinate with management on mitigation plans

Drive for highest levels of internal and external customer satisfaction

Initiates changes as needed to existing processes and methods to improve project and team efficiencies



Experience in the computing industry, at the OEM, ODM, or technology provider level.

Experience managing and delivering programs

Experience leading cross-functional and cross-regional teams to deliver program goals

Outstanding written and oral communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Results driven

Deals effectively with people in tense situations and confronts and resolves conflicts effectively.

Proactively involves others in planning, decision making and implementation efforts.

Ensures that project goals and project objectives are met.

Makes decisions or takes actions that move items to closure without divisiveness.

BS, or higher, in Engineering (Computer or Electrical) strongly preferred

PMP certification a plus, but not required
