The Role:

This Integrated Circuit Design Engineer will join a team responsible for high-precision custom circuit blocks within AMD’s FPGA line of products. This team owns a wide variety of key IP in Digital and Analog/Mixed-Signal domains catering to products across multiple business units. With a good mix of experienced designers and college graduates from top Engineering institutions across the country, this team offers a very competitive atmosphere with excellent scope to learn and improve. The Person:

Ideal candidate would be the one with not only strong circuit and digital design knowledge, but also clear communication and presentation skills along with diligent documentation of work. Passion to go beyond the call of duty and innovate for higher efficiency would be a key differentiator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on developing digital and analog circuit blocks in a FPGA Configuration memory system design in cutting edge FinFET technology nodes
  • Responsible for circuit design, digital design, layout quality, electrical and timing analysis, and reliability checks
  • Interface with cross-functional teams like RTL, Verification and Physical Design

Preferred Experience:

  • 2-4+ years of relevant experience
  • Direct experience in all phases of design analysis including functional, simulation, and electrical sign-off
  • Knowledge of custom analog and digital circuits, SRAM bitcells.
  • Hands-on experience in SRAM circuit designs in latest technology nodes, including FinFET.
  • Good technical knowledge of area-power-performance trade-offs in a memory system architecture
  • Knowledge of spice, electrical quality analysis (IR drop, coupling noise, electromigration, etc.), physical and logical verification.
  • Knowledge of small signal sensing techniques and analysis, read and write assist circuits and techniques. 
  • Understanding of the impact of variation on design yield and performance
  • Familiar with programing languages such as Perl, Python, C, tcl, etc. to be able to create automation scripts

Academic Credentials:

  • 4-Year Engineering Degree (CS/EE), MSEE highly preferred
