THE ROLE:
AMD’s Xilinx Runtime library (XRT) provides software interface to AMD Xilinx FPGA based products: PCIe based Alveo accelerator cards, MPSoC based embedded platforms and AIE-enabled Versal ACAP devices. It includes user-space libraries and APIs, kernel mode drivers, board utilities, and firmware.
XRT is opensource and developed on GitHub https://github.com/Xilinx/XRT. We are a high-performance distributed team that works with various other teams including HW platform, Vitis solution, and testing. The selected candidate will be involved in creating and extending features in XRT.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
In collaboration with technical leads design key runtime features for AIE-enabled devices that accelerate ML workload.
Work with stake holders in project planning for full life cycle of feature: design, development, validation, and deployment
Mentor junior developers and stack on AIE-enabled device as required
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Background in Computer Science or related fields
Proficiency in modern C++17 programming and well versed in debugging with GDB and Visual Studio
Experience with CMake build system and shell scripts
Experience with modern source control systems such as GitHub
Experience in using or implementing powerful command line tools for interacting with acceleration devices
Experience working with PCIe devices such as Xilinx Alveo, AMD GPUs, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence runtime stacks
Background in open-source development
Experience in working with remote and distributed team
Good knowledge of Python3 and pybind11
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical fields plus 1+ years of relevant software development experience OR
Bachelor’s degree in the same field(s) and 3+ years of relevant software development experience
