THE ROLE: 

The Diagnostic Engineering team is responsible for function, system, and stress diagnostics software development targeting next generation CPU, DC-GPU, APU and dGPU products.

We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced engineer to deliver diagnostics software which verify the industry leading high-performance interconnection IOs ( PCIe, nBIF_SHUB). 

 

THE PERSON: 

We are seeking for a candidate who has strong self-learning ability, positive work attitude, teamwork spirit and also good communication skills.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Read and understand the IC design specification
  • Define comprehensive test plans with the IC design team
  • Develop diagnostics software for the next generation framework to bring-up and validate ASIC features on both pre-silicon (emulation) environments and post-silicon hardware
  • Deliver functional and stress software to enable new generation of IC design features
  • Identify and help resolve hardware, software and platform issues
  • Support manufacturing and customer issues
  • Forward thinker to improve development processes, code quality and hardware coverage 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • A minimum of 3+ years of Embedded software development and debug experience in Linux environment
  • Proficient in C++ programming, with experience in programming using OOPs concepts and STL. Hands-on experience with programming using templates.
  • Good understanding of the x86 processor architecture, high speed IO technologies (PCIe, CXL etc.) is desired
  • Strong low-level software and system level debugging and test skills, and capability to quickly identify problems and provide robust solutions.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelors or Masters degree (preferred) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
