SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER, DevOps and Infrastructure  

THE ROLE: 

AMD is looking for a senior software engineer to join our growing team in Yerevan, Armenia. As a key contributor you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market.   

THE PERSON: 

The ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problem-solving mindset, has a keen eye for Software engineering development, and is diligent and passionate about Technology. A successful candidate will need to employ strong knowledge in computer technologies, leadership skills in technical areas, and SW engineering expertise as well as a strong ability to compete effectively in a fast-paced, relevant environment while working with different teams of engineers and collaborators. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Provide support to the AMD Armenia development teams, this includes internal and 3rd party tools and processes including development environment configuration and troubleshooting, administration of source code management systems, application testing and analysis.  
• Collaborate with DevOps, Engineering and IT team members to design and build scalable solutions for the Software and IP build and test environments. This includes storage and compute technologies.   

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant industry experience or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related equivalent field. with 2+ years of relevant industry experience. 
• The successful candidate must have basic knowledge and minimal experience with software engineering practices and principles.  
• The person should have a learned experience with Linux, UNIX, Windows, and various flavors of shell and scripting languages. 
• Proficiency with various programming languages and tools such as: Python, Shell, Visual Studio, GDB, Cygwin, LSF, Perforce, Git, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes. 
• He/she should be self-motivated and innovative.  
• Excellent Project Management, communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
