THE ROLE:

AMD is looking for a Senior System Administrator to join our IT department. Your responsibilities include supervising our Operations team, Technical support for end users on Laptops/Desktops/OS & Applications/VC & Meeting support and extended support for Network and other IT related support. The role involves leading the team, hands-on end user support and take responsibility to drive the projects.

 

THE PERSON:

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with various operating systems.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • On Site Customer Support for IT - Provide daily End User technical and operations support 
  • Configure Laptops/Desktops and other IT systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Responsible to Lead the Operations team and IT projects as required
  • Coordinate with various peer IT teams, and drive the technical  issues to resolution
  • Update/create technical documentation, FAQs as required
  • Conference room – AV support
  • Manage and Deliver daily Geek St. service (walk-in IT support) for AMD India
  • Prepare various reports / PPTs and present as required

 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 8 - 15 years' experience as a Senior Systems Admin.
  • Work experience as a Senior End User support engineer / Lead
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience with Laptops/Desktops(Hardware and Software), IT Operations support  
  • Solid understanding of Windows operating system, linux and Mac-OS, AD, O365, User on-boarding/offboarding, Asset management
  • Knowledge of Network LAN, WAN and WiFi
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • Team management abilities

 ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a similar field.
