The Sr. Manager of Technical Marketing, System Software, is part of the Product, Software and AI Solutions Marketing team located in San Jose (California), Longmont (Colorado), and Vancouver (British Columbia). The team is looking for an expert Marketing or Engineering leader to scale the teams’ ability to deliver customer focused solutions for AMD’s next generation Adaptable Compute and Acceleration Platforms.  

Responsibilities: 

• Work closely with silicon teams, marketing segment architects and leads, key customers and internal tools, and software teams to create a plan to deliver a complex set of phased deliverables required to bring new silicon products to market 
• Work closely with tools (Vivado, Vitis), IP, system software, boards and platforms marketing and engineering teams to drive deliverables as part of the solution plan 

• Work closely with lead customers to understand key requirements, challenges, and timelines for next-generation products 
• Work with product marketing and engineering teams to prioritize and align solution deliverables during release planning processes 
• Present solution progress updates to executive and deliver solution, silicon, and customer application presentations to internal marketing and engineering teams  
• File and manage Jira Epics as the main tool to drive requirements into Engineering 

Job Requirements: 

• 15+ years of industry experience in technical product or program management, technical marketing, application or system engineering  
• Ability to break down large complex problems into manageable deliverables and work closely with product management and engineering leads to refine 
• Have an in-depth understanding of silicon technology, FPGA’s, software, and interface technology with prior engineering experience  

• Ability to understand at the architectural level a broad set of customer applications from traditional applications like Test and Measurement, Audio Video Broadcasting to emerging applications in Artificial intelligence, Machine learning, Autonomous Driving, and advanced DSP processing in vector processing engines. 
• Have exposure to AECG (Xilinx) FPGA products, tools, and ideally Versal ACAP products 
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment at the cutting edge of new technology and invention, where constant learning is required and comfortable working with uncertainty and constant change 
• A benefit to have Project Management experience, excellent organizational skills, and a process-oriented mindset  

Education/Experience: 

• BS/MS (Master's Degree preferred) in CS/EE with a minimum of 15+ years of relevant industry experience
