  • Job Title: Sr. Technical Program Manager
  • Job Summary: This role contributes to The Pokémon Company International’s success by managing the highly technical DevOps program that owns initiatives related to modernization, standardization, and solutioning across the programs it supports. This role partners with key stakeholders across the the technology organization and business to deliver platform solutions. Additionally, this role actively generates process improvements, provides structure, and establishes procedures and tools to increase efficiency and transparency for the Technical Program Management Office.

What you’ll do

  • Lead development and continuous refinement of DevOps roadmaps that are aligned with program goals / KPIs at the Platform, Tech Org, and company levels.
  • Manage the DevOps portfolio of work.
  • Work with development teams to determine sustainable and scalable solutions that support existing and future development, focusing on modernization and tech debt reduction.
  • Establish close partnerships with other teams across the Tech Org, business, and external partners to effectively anticipate needs and lead cross-functional work.
  • Facilitate cross-team/program discussions, coordinating dependencies with other Program Managers or Producers.
  • Scope, plan, and manage projects leveraging both traditional & Agile methodologies.
  • Discover and drive the gathering of technical requirements. 
  • Proactively identify technical, legal, procedural, logistical, and communication issues and drive creative solutions to address them and manage risk.
  • Coordinate Program Increment (PI) planning and Program Reviews
  • Utilize Organizational Change Management practices.
  • Partner with DevOps Leadership in building, evolving, and improving sustainable processes and measurement systems for DevOps.
  • Revise and redefine work intake processes that support DevOps in functioning both as a service desk and as an engineering center.
  • Contribute to building TPMO processes, standardization, and best practices.

               

What you’ll bring

  • Eight (8) to eleven (11) years of professional experience in technical project/program management roles with a solid foundation in technical project management best practices.
  • Solid technical background, with an understanding of SDLC, cloud and web technologies, implementation, and rollouts.
  • Familiarity with cloud first infrastructure patterns (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) including containerization and Kubernetes, CICD (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, TeamCity), Infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, Pulumi, CDK).
  • Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity to detailed solutions.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of and experience with Waterfall, Scrum, Agile, and Lean and know when to employ each. 
  • Experience creating status reports, project plans, dashboards, roadmaps, and other reporting for the executive level; demonstrated ability to tailor messaging to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint preferred.
  • Organizational change management experience preferred.

  • Base salary range: For this role, new hires generally start between $151,000.00 - $189,000.00. The full range is $151,000.00 - $227,000.00. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
