STAFF BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST

THE ROLE:

The Staff Business Analyst will support reporting and analytics initiatives for Global Operations Quality (GOQ), ensuring alignment with core goals and strategic priorities of the company.

 

THE PERSON:

The Staff Business Analyst will interact directly with key stakeholders to define and manage business needs and requirements. The Staff Business Analyst will define, design and development of various data product which services a range of domain areas within GOQ. These data products will have an enterprise-wide impact, enabling our business communities with analytics and performance metrics.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Design and develop the to-be solution (people, process, technology); build new data models and ensure data products integrates with existing data/subject areas.
  • Analyzes requirements and conducts reviews; incorporate opportunities to simplify and efficiently scale operations.
  • Executes data product with agile methodology, determines data structure requirements by analyzing operations, applications, and current systems.
  • Creates data models and data mapping specifications; generates the code required to build the physical database; designs and creates reports, dashboard and KPI per end-user requirement.
  • Evaluates new data sources for consistency to the organization's quality standards; profiles the new data sources to detect potential quality and structure issues.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Expert experience in a Data and Analytics role, in a technology-focused company
  • Able to work independently and in a team, meticulous, critical thinker and performance driven.
  • Able to translate business requirements to technical specifications and willing to challenge requests based on business value and priorities.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create original concepts for various projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, risk management and leadership skills
  • Elevated level of proficiency in SQL, Transact SQL, and Relational Database (RDBMS) and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP), such as SQL Server, Snowflake, SSAS
  • Strong understanding or/and hand-on experience of Business Intelligence software, data visualization and reporting tooling such Excel, Power BI.
  • Able to work across time zones and collaborate with remote team.
  • Experience with Agile project management methodology, DevOps is a plus.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in Information Systems or Computer Science disciplines
