Ubisoft IT is looking for a System Administrator to join the Game Services team. This team’s main mission is to support the online infrastructure of Ubisoft games that have online functionality.

As a System Administrator joining this team, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and operations of our online infrastructure, with a focus on operational activities, initiative-taking capacity management, and event monitoring. You will also be responsible for putting in place DevOps practices such as automation, monitoring, and alerting to ensure the stability and reliability of our online infrastructure. Finally, you will also contribute to the execution of various projects and will function as second-level support.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy infrastructure automation and ensure system robustness, reliability, efficiency, reusability, and versatility;
  • Ensure the resolution of daily operational tickets from our partners and players;
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting tools;
  • Set up and assess metrics to enhance system quality;
  • Monitor system behavior while also investigating and troubleshooting;
  • Stay up to date on new technology and trends and promote and apply DevOps principles within the team;
  • Suggest improvements to our methods, architecture, and tools to boost efficiency and robustness;
  • Collaborate with IT teams on automation and optimization projects;
  • Maintain documentation regarding configurations, operations, and troubleshooting procedures related to the Online platform.
  • Proficient in Linux operating systems;
  • Solid experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes;
  • Good experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies such as Terraform and Chef
  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines with GitLab;
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure;
  • Ability to develop techniques and methodologies to help resolve and troubleshoot problems.
