THE ROLE:

This is an opportunity for a Senior level EE/Hardware Engineer focused on AMD CPU/APU Client System Hardware architecture, design, bring up and validation working on both external and internal platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as the Primary Electrical Engineering contact for an OEM or ODM Customer
• Lead/Execute Customer Production Platform Design Reviews
• Participate in Internal Platform/Silicon Design/Bring up as required
• Lead/Participate in Customer Platform Bring up and as required
• Lead/Participate in Customer New Production Introduction Validation
• Debug and troubleshooting system and board level issues in a development environment and platform enablement focus of Customer Production Platform
• Proactively driving continuous improvement for pre and post-silicon Customer Engineering related procedures

 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Electrical Engineering, System and Board Level expertise working with cross organization teams to ensure Silicon/SW/Platform/etc. features are in sync, development is supported, and validation is planned
  • Primary focus is on EE Motherboard level design
  • Coordination of all test activities including Bring up of silicon & boards
  • Defect prioritization and root-cause resolution plans
• Owner for Post-silicon validation activity that includes:
  • Platform validation and test both Electrical and Functional
  • System level features, verification, and optimization
  • Test execution and debug leadership across AMD
  • Assure that all responsibilities are clearly defined across all relevant and participating organizations.
• Coordinates/Functions within Bios, Drivers, Silicon, IO subsystems, power, thermal, OS certification subject matter experts

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor's or Masters in related field preferred
