THE ROLE:

We are seeking a Systems Debug Lead to join our Data Center GPU Systems Design and Enablement team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the debugs to ensure issues and defects during our design, development, validation, manufacturing, and postproduction phases are managed effectively to provide high quality and performant Data Center GPU products that delight our customers.

 

THE PERSON:

In this senior leadership position, the Senior System Debug Lead will be instrumental in post-Silicon debugging of AMD’s next-generation Data Center GPU products. You will not only lead debug efforts to maximize throughput but also play a pivotal role in customer engagement and support. This role demands a deep interaction with end customers of data center GPU products, ensuring their needs and feedback are integral to the debug and product improvement process. You will collaborate with System Validation and Engineering teams, System Architects, IP design, SoC, FW, SW, and manufacturing stakeholders, and Field Application Engineers, focusing on enhancing the performance and reliability of products in the Data Center GPU division.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Leading and ensuring timely resolution of technical issues in Data Center GPU products, with a focus on senior-level decision-making and strategy development.

· Directly interfacing with end customers to understand their needs and incorporating this feedback into the debugging and development process.

· Managing complex debug efforts, identifying root causes, and resolutions, especially in GPU-related challenges.

· Overseeing technical issue management, risk assessment, and prioritization, including executive and customer communication regarding program status.

· Analyzing and improving debug program indicators, specifically focusing on GPU products and customer requirements.

· Evaluating program milestones, assessing the impact of open issues on progression, and making senior-level decisions on project direction.

· Implementing and driving improvements in the debug process, with a focus on GPU-specific considerations and customer feedback.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

· Extensive experience in debug and validation roles involving OS, FW, Silicon, and HW issues, with a strong emphasis on GPU technologies.

· Profound understanding of PC industry standard buses, like PCIe, and their software stack in relation to GPU applications.

· Expert knowledge of X86 architecture, SoC design, memory, RAS, power management, and system management, BMC and specialized in GPU technologies.

· Strong ability in customer relationship management, with excellent communication and coordination skills tailored for a senior leadership role.
