Job Description:

DESIGN COMPLETE & COMPLEX FRAMEWORKS, SYSTEMS AND/OR PRODUCTS. DUTIES INCLUDE: PROVIDE TECHNICAL CUSTOMER SUPPORT TO INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS AND CONTRIBUTE TO SYSTEM PLATFORM DEBUGGING EFFORTS FOR AMD'S SEMICONDUCTOR PRODUCTS; ANALYZE COMPLEX TECHNICAL DATA TO HELP IDENTIFY AND RESOLVE ISSUES IN DEVELOPMENT/ OF AMDS SERVER CHIPS AND RELATED SEMICONDUCTOR PRODUCTS; ANALYZE INTERACTIONS BETWEEN VARIOUS IPS ON SOC IN THE PROCESS OF DEBUGGING SYSTEM-LEVEL ISSUES; UTILIZE INTERNALLY DEVELOPED TECHNICAL TOOLS AND FOLLOW INTERNAL METHODOLOGIES TO RESOLVE BUGS AND ISSUES IN POST-SILICON FEATURES; COLLABORATE WITH OTHER ENGINEERING TEAMS (E.G., POWER, PLATFORM, AND SOC ARCHITECTURE TEAMS) TO CONDUCT ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS OF SYSTEM-LEVEL ISSUES AND TO ENSURE ALL ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS AND SOFTWARE FEATURES COMPRISING AMD PRODUCTS ARE IN SYNC; PERFORM MODERATELY COMPLEX SYSTEM ENGINEERING TASKS ON COMPLEX CROSSFUNCTIONAL PROJECTS RELATED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF AMD'S NEXT GENERATION PRODUCTS; AND COMMUNICATE KEY UPDATES TO SENIOR MEMBERS OF THE TEAM AND KEY STAKEHOLDERS.

Amount and type of experience required:

MASTER'S DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING, COMPUTER SCIENCE, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, OR ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING.

12 months of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.

Minimum Requirements: 

Education or experience with the following technologies and/or skills: X-86 ARCHITECTURE, SOC ARCHITECTURE, OR COMPUTER ARCHITECTURE; PYTHON, C, OR C++; MATLAB, MODELSIM, OR HSPICE; VERILOG, HDL, OR VHDL; UNIX, LINUX, OR WINDOWS OS; AND SYSTEM SOFTWARE TOOLS, EMULATION TOOLS, OR PLATFORM LEVEL TOOLS. Employer will accept skills gained in furtherance of university degree via coursework, research projects, internship, thesis, etc. Skills may be gained concurrently.
