The Systems Designer will report to the System Design Supervisor

This is a temporary contract role

Responsibilities:

You will:

  • Design, own, and implement design systems in an iterative environment for an action RPG.

  • Plan out fun and intentional experiences at both macro and micro levels.

  • Use proprietary toolset to design and implement logic for design systems.

  • Evaluate and implement design feedback from all relevant sources.

  • Create and maintain design documentation.

  • Analyze and debug issues within content, working with QV partners to test and build confidence in deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1+ years of experience as a Systems Designer.

  • Good understanding of action and RPG gameplay mechanics

  • Familiar with visual scripting languages such as Unreal Blueprint or FrostEd Schematics

  • Familiar with RPG mechanics design across a breadth of genres

  • An understanding and passion for Character Building, especially through skill progression and itemization

  • A working knowledge of standard industry game engines, design toolsets and production pipelines.

  • Experience collaborating with others to achieve a design
