TAX ANALYST 2
THE ROLE:
AMD is seeking a full-time Tax Analyst 2 to join the tax team in our Global Services Support Team. This position will be passionate about the US Federal and States Tax and Transfer Pricing (“TP”) compliance.
THE PERSON:
We are searching for an individual that is passionate about tax compliance, tax provision and TP and wants to continue to learn, develop and progress in corporate income taxes and TP environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports US Federal and State tax returns, quarterly provisions, deferred taxations, and tax payments.
- Track yearly and quarterly revenue and expenses for the preparation of tax returns.
- Analyze all work papers to ensure accuracy and analyze all accounting and tax information and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Supports TP and country by country reporting compliance for regional, international and US.
- Support TP benchmarking, testing, review, and analysis.
- Support intercompany transactions and agreements.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and TP regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive tax records and financial data for audits.
- Provide support for tax/TP audits and answer to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Supports any special tax projects.
- Supports ad-hoc tasks as needed.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 2 – 5 years of tax or accounting experience in Big 4 or Multinational Companies is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to effectively gather, assess, analyze financial and tax information.
- Strong oral and written communication skills along with strong organization and documentation skills are required.
- Strong attention to details and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule as required to collaborate closely with colleagues in different time zones.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Self-motivated, resourceful and results oriented.
- Experience in a using a tax provision software i.e., OneSource Tax provision (OTP) software, is a plus.
- Strong MS Excel skills required. Alteryx is a plus.
- SAP/ other ERP system knowledge is an added advantage.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Degree in Accountancy/ACCA or any equivalent accounting professional qualification.
