THE ROLE:
AMD is seeking a full-time Tax Analyst to join the tax team in our Global Services Support Team. This position will be passionate about the income tax return and provision with some exposure to multiple jurisdictions in Southeast Asia and US taxes.
THE PERSON:
We are searching for an individual that is passionate about taxes and wants to continue to learn, develop and progress in corporate income taxes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare direct tax filling across multiple jurisdictions in Southeast Asia
- Prepare/perform tax account reconciliations
- Assist in handling tax audits, tax investigations from the tax authorities
- Liaison with external advisors about income tax returns and compliance requirements
- Participate in projects or assignments as directed, opportunity to work on regional or global tax initiatives/projects
- Supports ad-hoc tasks as needed
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 3 – 4 years of tax or accounting experience. Asia and international tax experience an added advantage
- Good written and spoken English
- Strong computer technical skills – MS Office
- Strong analytical skills, motivation, and confidence to independently address issues
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that can work with people of diverse environment globally
- SAP/ other ERP system knowledge is an added advantage.
- While the position will potentially accommodate a wide range of specific backgrounds, the successful candidate must demonstrate:
- A passion for tax accounting and tax principles.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a changing and diverse environment and manage multiple projects with short deadlines; and
- Ability and experience to effectively gather, assess, analyze tax information.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Degree in Accountancy/ACCA or any equivalent accounting professional qualification
