Rigging
EA Create Rigging, the versatile team mostly based between Vancouver, Canada, and Orlando, Florida is best known for creating amazing work in titles such as Football Club, Madden, UFC, Plants Versus Zombies, Apex Legends, Dead Space, and Battlefield to name a few; and we're looking to expand our team for upcoming titles.
Technical Artist 2 - Rigging
A Rigging Artist works on a specific project under the direction of a Rigging Lead and Development Director to ensure assets requests are completed to the quality level of the project. Your tasks can include skeleton creation, skinning, control rigging, cloth/hair simulation, and scripting. While the primary focus of production is asset creation, we look to TA2s to spend time refining our processes and to finding ways to improve workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Rigging and Skinning
- Cloth and Hair Simulation
- Asset maintenance
- Script development
- Workflow design and implementation
- Team Mentorship
Qualifications:
- Background in rigging and skinning complex assets
- Expertise in Maya
- Proficient in Python Scripting
- Knowledge of animation principles and human anatomy
- Shipped Game Titles or VFX / Feature Animation
Bonus:
- Game Engine Experience (Commercial or Proprietary)
- 3D Math Experience
- Houdini Experience
- Motion Capture Familiarity
- Knowledge of C++
