Technical Execution Manager
Role:
Seeking a hands-on manager to lead an AMD Enterprise Execution team, specializing in Epyc AMD processors. The team is responsible for integrating, executing tests, and debugging failures. In this role, you will collaborate with design, architecture, validation, and manufacturing engineering teams to address critical issues and ensure customer quality expectations are met.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate possesses a solid understanding of the overall silicon engineering process, from tape-out, production and sustain. The candidate should have managerial or team lead experience, a track record in Data Center processors, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee an AMD Enterprise Execution team, focusing on execution, first and second level debugging to determine DPPM in production.
- Lead day-to-day execution and debugging efforts of the team.
- Coordinate necessary improvements to enhance execution and debugging efficiency.
- Manage and track technical issues, risks, and priorities while handling customer and executive communications.
- Develop and grow the technical expertise of the team through mentorship, training, and knowledge sharing.
Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years in product and test engineering, specializing in silicon debug or FA/FI
- Expertise in test plan execution
- Experience in semiconductor debug, fault isolation, failure analysis, and/or product engineering yield debug
- Proficient understanding of computer platform hardware, operating systems, device drivers, and system BIOS interactions
- Knowledge of Linux and scripting languages (Python, Perl, or Ruby)
- Comprehensive understanding of Data Center industry standard buses and their software stack, such as PCIe
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Proven experience as a manager and/or technical team lead
- Strong background in probability and statistics, including DOE's (preferred)
- Familiarity with DFD and DFT technologies (preferred)
Academic Qualifications:
A BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
