Role

 

The Technical Marketing Manager position is in the Vivado Product Marketing Team, located in Vancouver (BC), Ottawa (ON), San Jose (California) or Longmont (Colorado), is for an experienced individual to drive key aspects of the Vivado and next generation tool product roadmap including feature specification, planning, validation, documentation, early training material and key customer support. The successful candidate will work closely with product planning and R&D teams, internal application design teams and tier-1 customers to improve the FPGA design process in order to enable the next generation of designs and methodologies. The successful candidate for this position will have a critical role defining, bringing to market and support a wide range of technical marketing areas which may include: simulation, team & hierarchical design, advanced IP based flows, implementation, and next generation tool roadmap definition.

 

Job Requirements

  • Provide technical expertise to the field and customers, including creating training, tutorials, and user guides.
  • Can define best in class development flows, features and methodologies for AMD FPGA and ACAP tools and libraries by collaborating with engineering, sales and customer to help drive tool features.
  • Can simplify and communicate even the most complex subjects, making options, tradeoffs, and impact clear.
  • Excellent working knowledge of RTL and IP-based design flows and expectations.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the entire FPGA or ASIC design process and tool flow.
  • Expert in design analysis, experimentation and methodology.
  • Ability to handle and solve complex system level issues, internally and with tier-1 customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentations skills, and the ability to work with multiple groups.

Education Requirements & Years of Experience

 

  • BS or equivalent work experience in Electrical Engineering or similar technology area, with minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
