Job Role and Responsibility: Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring a Technical Marketing Manager to sell business goods and services that require a technical background. Responsible for developing and driving successful marketing adoption of Xilinx tools with customers. Prompt and receive technical feedback from new and existing customers regarding Xilinx proprietary software and/or hardware products. Deliver feedback to engineering to develop new features and present to industry and customers upon development. Drive the evolution of tools and features related to the Xilinx tools by collaborating with marketing engineer teams and helping drive tool features. Research and develop products to drive best of class development flows and methodologies. Assess equipment, understand user requirements, represent the needs of end-users, evaluate market trends and competition, and use this information to determine what marketing product features need development. Support high-profile engagements to success, including marketing design entry flows, interactive design environments and IP integration. Provide marketing support and develop RTL (register-transfer level) based design flows. Plan and help clients solve problems with installed Xilinx equipment. Utilizing knowledge of entire FPGA (field-programmable gate array) and ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) design process and tool flow to develop marketing plans and monitor market trends. Identify marketing strategies and modify products to meet customer needs. Define market requirements and communicate with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs. Discuss design features and solve complex, system level issues internally and with tier-1 customers. Requires 20% domestic/international travel.

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Two (2) years of experience in software engineering, hardware engineering, computer internship, or related occupation.
Specific skills required: The following skills are required:
Position requires one year of experience in the following:
- Testing technical products;
- Jira and Confluence;
- Vivado design tools;
- Reviewing and analyzing RTL-based design flows;
- Supporting design entry flows; and
- Designing embedded software.
