THE ROLE:

AMD-Pensando is seeking a seasoned Technical NPI/Sustaining Program Manager to join our Manufacturing Engineering Team, partnering with Supply Chain Management, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Fulfillment Operations and Customer Support team to support development activities, transition from product concept and production ramp up and any activities in program sustaining stage

THE PERSON:

  • Have great understanding in high tech product life cycle development, hardware design and manufacturing
  • Hands on experience in NPI program management from EPM and/or OPM perspective
  • Highly collaborative, open mind, and receptive of different opinions from different perspective
  • Can pull people together to solve complex problem, focus on delivering result
  • Can move at fast pace
  • Humble and direct
  • Have good understanding on the high level, in the same time, can dive deep in details

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with internal cross functional team and CM to plan detailed development activities and develop full program schedule.
  • Drive NPI programs from prototype stage to product launch
  • Monitor program schedule, report program status, raise flags on critical issues and drive for solutions, conduct milestone stage exit/entry reviews
  • Drive cross functional teams to conduct DFx and ensure tooling, fixture, jigs are signed off properly
  • Work on alternate sourcing qualification and BOM risk assessment.
  • Develop phase gate release criteria and enforcing it with cross functional support.
  • Support failure analysis activities with vendor and partners.
  • Support manufacturing test platform improvement activities, qualification and deploy to CM.
  • Develop production volume projection and test capacity planning.
  • Managing sustaining manufacturing programs

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working with contract manufacturing partners
  • 8+ years of program management experiences in product development and contract manufacturing management preferred.
  • Knowledge with ASIC, DDR, Optics, and PCBA assembly is a plus
  • Detail oriented, analytical, and customer focused yet flexible and adaptable to business needs
  • High level of teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced changing business environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering/business
