EA SPORTS is one of the most iconic brands in entertainment – connecting hundreds of millions around the world to the sports they love through a portfolio of industry-leading video games.

Our Advanced Technology Group is part of the EA SPORTS Technology organization, focusing on identifying and creating new, scalable technologies for game teams. We are looking for close collaboration with game teams, central art teams, and the Frostbite engine team; though the technologies developed can apply to many different engines, environments, and hardware platforms. You will work on our strategic, multi-year projects focused on improved creation pipelines and runtime functionality, both users facing and internal, for all EA SPORTS titles.

Reporting to a Director of Product Management, you will oversee Character Visuals technologies in and around the Frostbite engine. You will be a leader in EA's character community, advancing runtime customization for user-generated experiences, next-gen rigging, and deformation for realistic visuals. You will collaborate with content creators to build new workflows and help shape the future of gaming.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize investment in customization, rigging and deformation technologies in collaboration with EA's game teams and Frostbite's development team.
  • Produce competitive analysis on EA's technology landscape.
  • Develop the long-term strategy for Character Visuals in Frostbite, balancing investment between game team strategies, market trends, and your own team's insight.
  • Inspire Frostbite's user community and partners through communication of your strategy.

Your Qualifications:

We value diverse skills, experiences, and perspectives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply, even if they do not meet every requirement.

  • 7+ years of experience in gaming technology.
  • Expertise in at least one of: rigging, deformation, customization, character pipelines, rendering, or animation technologies.
  • Capability to produce a wide array of user requirements into a product plan for an engineering team.
  • Experience working with technical and creative partners.
  • Experience with public speaking and presentations.
