Within the Quality team, the Tools Support Specialist (TSS) provides frontline support to all project teams. As a TSS, you will have general skills and knowledge of production tools, enabling you to work closely with all users to help them with their tools issues.

 You will be confronted with simple troubleshooting/debugging issues (level 1) on :

  • Workflows,
  • Production processes (pipelines),
  • Software tools used by production.

 You will be confronted with more complex troubleshooting/debugging (level 2) on the processes and tools under your responsibility.

 The role of the "Tools Support Specialist" is to increase the efficiency and productivity of the project, using his/her expertise to improve production methodologies and tools, as well as to provide training and support for new arrivals. In this role, he/she is the essential link between content creators, technical directors, and programmers.

 You will be integrated into the content production teams according to your specialties and responsibilities, while reporting to the QA project team.

Missions

  1. Provide technical software support to production teams and solve problems in coordination with engineering teams,
  2. Accompany and train newcomers in the work processes and tools they will use daily,
  3. Write and update documentation on recurring support issues,
  4. Write and keep up to date documentation relating to your specialties,
  5. Identify sticking points in the day-to-day work of content creators, in close collaboration with technical managers,
  6. Participate in the elaboration and prioritization of user requests and needs related to the tools.
  7. Follow up on new functionalities and bug fixes for tools related to your specialties.
  8. Manage access rights to project resources,
  9. Participate in the development of tools and processes to facilitate the work of production teams and your own team.

Qualifications

Soft Skills :

  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Ability to clarify situations and reduce uncertainty.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, friendly and service-oriented approach to users
  • Good oral and written communication skills (drafting documentation, training)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good priority management and organizational skills
  • Strong proactivity combined with ability to propose solutions
  • Strong learning skills
  • Interest in video games and knowledge of the vocabulary associated with game production.

Hard skills :

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in similar positions required
  • Fluent English (spoken and written) and a good level of French
  • Good knowledge of ticketing tools, bug tracking and ideally testing methodologies
  • Knowledge of Source Control Management software (GitLab/GitHub/Perforce...)
  • Knowledge of Windows environment

What will make the difference:

  • Strong interest in IT and new technologies in general
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (C#) or scripting (Python)
  • Knowledge of game engines (Unreal, Unity, mod editors)
  • First experience in video games would be a plus
