We’re now looking for a UI Artist to join the project of Tom Clancy’s The Division: Heartland, an all-new stand-alone survival action shooter set in the Division universe.  

As a UI Artist, your role is crucial in creating visually appealing and functional interfaces that enhance the overall user experience. You will collaborate closely with the UX, game design, art, and programming teams to design and implement intuitive and visually captivating user interfaces for games on PC and various gaming consoles. Your primary focus will be on developing the graphical elements of the game's user interface, including menus, HUDs (Heads-Up Displays), icons, buttons, and other interactive elements.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborating with the UX and UI Tech Art team to conceptualize and create visually engaging and intuitive user interfaces that align with the game's art style, vision and target audience. 

  • Producing high-quality assets for various UI elements, including icons, buttons, menus, backgrounds, and HUD elements 

  • Arranging UI elements effectively, while maintaining a cohesive visual style throughout the interface. 

  • Collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team to ensure seamless integration of UI assets and functionalities into the game engine, troubleshooting any issues that arise. 

  • Planning, estimating and prioritizing time frames for the completion of day-to-day tasks and tracking progress  

  • Staying up to date with industry trends, UI/UX best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously support the improvement of the quality of UI designs. 

  • Proficiency in Graphic Design Tools: Experience in using industry-standard graphic design software such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools for creating UI assets. 

  • Strong Artistic and Visual Skills: Excellent sense of composition, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy. Ability to create visually stunning and cohesive designs that align with the game's overall art style. 

  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong verbal, written, interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including artists, designers, UX, and programmers.  

  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, iterative development environment. 

  • Passion for Gaming: A genuine passion for PC and console games, an understanding of different genres, and an awareness of current trends and player expectations. 

  • Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to evolving project requirements and learn new tools, technologies, and game engines as needed.
