The Role:

AMD is growing rapidly! We're adding a University Relations (UR) leader to our world class Talent Acquisition organization. The manager will lead the US team, reporting to the Global UR leader. You will be a strategic business partner responsible for developing, leading, and implementing hiring initiatives to meet overall recruitment goals and targets. In this role, you will provide expertise with a focus on consultation, planning, execution, and continuous improvement.

 

The Person:

This is a great opportunity for a recruiting professional who has demonstrated team leadership, strong execution, and end to end ownership of the university recruiting process. You will have an opportunity innovate in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment. This exciting opportunity is a hands-on role, which requires significant project management and proven execution skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective university recruiting programs for the US, aligned with AMD's hiring needs and business goals
  • Oversee end-to-end aspects of US campus recruiting, including sourcing, school selection, recruiting process, diversity & inclusion, internship conversions, and internship program
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships with all levels within the organization to build a successful partnerships
  • Consult with senior leaders to understand business challenges and focus recruiting efforts to achieve a minimum 50% conversion rate
  • Increase and maintain a strong employer brand on campus, ensuring an ability to attract the highest quality talent
  • Proactively review and refine processes to increase efficiencies, champion consistency, support a highly positive candidate experience, and adhere to local compliance requirements
  • Lead various projects related to UR recruiting and programs
  • Leverage recruiting technology to enhance business results, provide scalability, timely information, and ensure consistency
  • Use data insights to make informed decisions and continuously improve processes and programs

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Demonstrated successful experience building and leading high performance university teams in a hypergrowth technology company
  • Strong client facing capabilities with proven ability to build strong, long-term relationships
  • Exceptional knowledge of university recruiting strategies and execution
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and demonstrate initiative, results, and a focus on service
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to share the overall company vision and talent strategy to achieve results
  • Ability to encourage and empower team members
  • Attention to detail and operational excellence
  • Excellent interviewing skills and practices

 

Academic Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred



At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.  Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
