THE ROLE:

As a key member of the Enterprise Information Security team, the Vulnerability Management Lead will be responsible for enforcing and maintaining compliance with security policies related to the protection of AMD computer systems, network and data. 

THE PERSON

You will help mature the security posture of the corporate environment. Influence others with your security mindset and inspire change at all levels. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. You will be a team player, organized, responsible and a highly detailed problem solver to the packet level!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review, update, and maintain Information Security technologies and processes.

Creating and maintaining Information Security policies and standards, working with IT teams to establish associated processes.  

Performing risk assessments for projects, providing guidance on the appropriate course of action.  

Identify and research threats and their risk to AMD systems, network and data  

Participate in Information Security specific projects to improve and mature security solutions  

Collaborate within Enterprise Information Security team to achieve Enterprise Information Security program objectives  

Effectively manage ad-hoc requests and necessary remediation activities  

Develop and optimize processes to improve security violation identification and remediation  

Keep current on latest industry practices, technologies, threats and vulnerabilities   

Working with technical and non-technical teams to ensure policy compliance  

Knowledge of security best practices and ongoing threat analysis  

Risk Management principles and methodologies, including the ability to perform risk assessments of physical facilities, information systems, IT projects and business processes  

Ability to document, maintain and transition knowledge between technical teams.  

Ability to present information security risks in a business context  

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Information Security direct-titled experience obtained from performing duties in a global environment.      

Ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences  

Present risks in the view of business context, and in a solution-oriented manner  

Experience with administration of Vulnerability Management Platforms (i.e. Rapid 7, Qualys, Nexus, etc.) 

Deploying enterprise security solutions 

Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, bash, python, etc. 

Administration of endpoint security solutions including but not limited to antivirus and vulnerability management 

Experience with APIs, dashboarding tools 

Strong knowledge of modern OS’s including Windows, Linux, and MacOS. 

Ability to learn new technologies on the fly, with limited or no formal training.  

Undergraduate or Advanced degree in Information Security Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other applicable degrees
