As an Associate World Designer reporting to the Lead World Designer, you will:
Responsibilities
- Create environments that are immersive, authentic, and believable while adhering to gameplay metrics and worldbuilding style guides
- Work with the gameplay team to explore compelling ways for world geometry to interact with our physics systems
- Assist in driving the development of worlds tools through concise feedback
- Partner and collaborate with artists to ensure a vision is held in areas of responsibility
Qualifications

- Experience shipping a AAA-quality (or equivalent) game title in a level designer/world artist role
- 1-2+ years game industry experience.
- Proficiency with 3D modeling packages to fully design level layouts and prove out gameplay.
- Well versed in architectural terminology/Urban Layout/Planning concepts.
US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The hourly pay ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. HOURLY PAY RANGES • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento): º $34 - $51 USD Hourly • New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo): º $31 - $51 USD Hourly • Jersey City, NJ : º $41 - $51 USD Hourly • Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs): º $36 - $53 USD Hourly • Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane): º $31 - $46 USD Hourly The hourly rate is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. |
