Board Manufacturing Engineer / Program Manager
THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to oversee our Card Manufacturing (CM)/ODM supplier management in the US to ensure on time delivery for our next generation EPYC Server Validation Platforms. You will ultimately be responsible for ensuring our suppliers meet build & delivery milestones for our cloud processor validation platforms. This will require working with Engineering Development Teams and Product Management Teams to ensure product design freeze milestones align with product supplier manufacturing and delivery milestones.

Being a Communicator is key to this position and a motivated self-starter! Must have a personality which takes an objective view of dynamic problems, looks at problems holistically, and be willing to investigate/question data.
Must have the desire for continual learning and self-education. Works independently with minimal direction. Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and cross-functional environment, where you are required to wear many hats.
Qualified candidates must have managed Contract Manufacturers and ODMs experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and drive ODM/OEMs/Vendors to meet a defined delivery schedule with specified qtys for a New Product Introduction (NPI) environment.
- Manage all manufacturing execution/operations for server boards, server platforms, and add-in cards.
- Drive board configuration/sku(s) and execute demand collection per phase for budget estimation.
- Gather and analyze manufacturer’s quotes for all build line items (Manufacturing NRE, BOM, test fixtures) and partner with engineering teams to review and approve quotes.
- Chair weekly sync meetings with manufacturers to communicate & align build plans based on program schedule.
- Publish and present weekly manufacturing dashboard on daily/weekly basis to internal stakeholders.
- Create and maintain program spend tracking which includes PO generation, approval, and invoice tracking on every ship notice.
- Generate, maintain, and clearly communicate supplier delivery plan.
- Coordinate post-delivery support with vendors if a rework/RMA is required.
- Capture issues and “lessons learned” on each phase of the manufacturing New Product Introduction build.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Managed contract manufacturers and ODMs experience.
- 15+ years’ manufacturing engineering experience with high-volume hardware products, with leadership experience.
- Brings value add to critical decisions regarding Manufacturing process improvement and collaborates well with others to make effective decisions in a timely manner.
- Takes initiative and enjoys implementing new processes and procedures for continuous improvement.
- Ability to lead and mentor others, and enjoy creating a collaborative, inventive, and high-energy dynamic environment.
- Strong knowledge of productivity and project tools such as Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office. Being a wizard at Power Point and Power BI is a plus.
