Component Business Development Executive - Mexico


The Role:

We are looking for our next team member to manage the AMD sales relationships with key accounts while identifying, analyzing, and developing business opportunities to increase our AMD footprint in Mexico. This person will engage customer business decision-makers and builds trusting customer relationships to win designs and business. Responsible for config design win activities, business management, revenue ownership and be on point to solve complex, high ambiguity problems independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the successful AMD product design wins through execution of comprehensive product strategy and roadmap with customers.
  • Responsible for delivering overall business and product strategy, product roadmap, product positioning, value proposition, pricing, and business model analysis.
  • Interact and work very closely with key account business management team, product team, procurement team, marketing team, and regional teams to collect customer/partner requirements to ensure the successful development of business strategy and plan.
  • Partner with procurement and business planning team to accurately forecast and plan in-quarter revenue execution and long-term planning.
  • Responsible for internal forecasting, pricing, marketing fund, and business reviews.
  • Understands competitor’s positioning and strategies and develops competitive strategy, product strategy, and positioning to ensure the success of the PC product in all market segments.
  • Implement and run sales programs with key partners, develop and execute marketing campaigns
  • Manage key relationships with organized Channel Partners drive AMD consideration and ranging of AMD enabled platforms
  • Ensure all points in the path to market chain understand AMD programs, AMD value proposition, AMD roadmap and USPs, our channel engagement strategies and activities
  • Lead the current sales cycle with key distributors and partners including monthly/quarterly business reviews and action planning.


Primary Purpose:

  • Lead the cycle planning process to engage partners to increase AMD market share.
  • Deliver on AMD volume, share, mix, and revenue goals – achieve sales targets for allocated territory
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow and increase the profitability of channel business.
  • Develop and implementing overall territory sales and marketing strategy
  • Develop, negotiate, and close strategic deals that drive significant sales growth in accounts.
  • Build quarterly business plans including sell-in and sell-out targets for each partner.


Preferred Experience:

  • Proven experience in similar sales-related positions.
  • Good technical knowledge and the ability to work closely with product managers are strongly preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of key account inner organization to work with the influencers, blockers, and decision-makers.
  • Proven experience as a BDM or similar role (eg. product marketing), experience with dealing with MNCs looked upon favorably
  • Proven experience with large retailers and subsequent merchant organization preferred
  • Successful track record of generating new sales from existing clients and new business development
  • Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint & Word
  • Excel – basic understanding of Pivot Tables and Vlookup
