THE ROLE:

The CVP HPE Global Account Manager will be the first point of contact for HPE’s CEO and Executive Leadership team, and will focus on driving revenue, strategic engagement, and corporate alignment for all aspects of the account. He/she will be responsible for leading the WW AMD HPE Sales team, and for planning, sales strategy, and execution relative to managing operations, customer success and alliance relationships, while driving to key revenue, market share and gross margin objectives.

 

Specifically tasked to spearhead HPE design wins and engagements, and define, socialize, and execute the AMD strategy to grow sales and expand addressable TAM via incremental product designs and assortment. To understand & articulate where technology, innovation and market opportunity intersect to create unique customer experiences.

 

 

THE PERSON:

Ideal candidates will have:

  • MUST be based in the Houston metro area.

  • Exceptional open communication style and executive presence to work effectively at a CxO level.

  • Broad leadership skills with ability to motivate, empower, mentor and retain top talent – positive leadership style.
  • Proven ability to acquire longer-range strategic vision and planning capabilities.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Relationship Owner – Drive the annual executive engagement calendar between organizations across all functions of HPE business.
  • Define and implement Sell-In, Sell-Through, and Sales-Out strategies and quality account plans that grow revenue base and market share for all AMD products. 
  • Engage HPE and AMD teams to drive collaboration across all lines of business. Own the key strategic initiatives and ensure alignment to achieve those goals.
  • Focus to win AMD CPU and GPU footprint across HPE.
  • Lead relationship engagement with our regional execs and segment directors. Work with regions and HPE Sales and Marketing Teams to drive Go-to-Market alignment and drive regional goals.
  • Align and determine WW marketing spend alignment to drive optimal ROI.
  • Lead key initiatives for the broader Commercial business to support the goals of the overall Commercial team and the CCO organization.
  • Ensure close collaboration with cross-matrix teams to value propositions that are consistent and aligned.
  • Identify customer challenges and translate into a compelling value proposition, ideally from chip-level technology into system level solutions.
  • Work with the HPE Global Business Unit product management and engineering teams to drive AMD design-wins and solutions.
  • Ensure close partnership with Field Application Engineer (FAE) teams and align priorities to penetrate assigned accounts.
  • Gain the trust and confidence of the AMD Executive Leadership team.
  • Develop relationships across the sales teams to build a harmonious approach to broadening AMD's portfolio within HPE.
  • Executive management reporting and analysis ensuring consistency with how results are communicated.
  • Develop and execute strategic alliance initiatives with HPE customers to foster collaboration.
  • Control regional Opex, Labor and TE specific
  • Cultivate relationships with Executive level contacts within HPE account

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated success in a comparable role, building and leading a global team in geographically dispersed locations including international sites. Depth of knowledge in sales strategy and sales operations. 
  • OEM Experience: Strong historical interaction and relationships with key customers and/or similar accounts in commercial datacenter sales capacity. Enterprise sales experience needed to manage the entire OEM product lifecycle.
  • Strategic Technical Experience: Understanding of CPU and GPU products, Strong historical relationships and success influencing large MNC organizations.
  • Organizational Experience: an established background in technical marketing and sell-in/design wins with progressive experience working in a cross-matrix environment.

 

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, MBA preferred
