The EA Create Capture team is made up of industry experts responsible for motion and performance capture, 3D body and facial scanning, and virtual cinematography products and services. EA Create Capture is looking for a Data Wrangler to join the team.

You will:

  • Report to the Capture Operations Manager, and partner with other Data Wranglers, Production Managers, Mocap Leads and Animators.
  • Perform detailed pre-shoot technical set-ups, shoot tasks and post-shoot pipeline steps across all motion capture and character scanning services.
  • Oversee the movement of data from recording session into post-production.
  • Be the first contact for pipeline failures and accountable for initiating the mitigation plan to unblock the pipeline or escalate to the appropriate team member.
  • Communicate and validate information ingested into databases (shot, talent and prop lists) resulting in quality deliverables.
  • Provide support to game development teams in post-production: preparing and distributing the Capture Order Tool, partner relationship support, and distributing data orders to team members.
  • Maintain workflow and pipeline documentation.
  • Help onboard new data wrangler team members.

You should:

  • Have high technical skills with a focus on improving pipeline processes and workflows.
  • Use proprietary software, Maya, Adobe Bridge CC, Reality Capture, Office, Google Sheets, and Shotgrid to perform your tasks.
  • Understand custom toolset purposes and their effect within the pipeline.
  • Understand technical dependencies of 3D scanning, motion capture, performance capture and virtual cinematography.
  • Maintain the communication connecting pre-production, production and post-production departments - troubleshoot pipeline errors.
  • Manage custom workflows and propose changes for optimization and efficiency.
  • Coordinate schedules and tasks for seamless data flow through the pipeline.
  • Demonstrate consistency with handling large quantities of data dependent on technical accuracy.
  • Know when and how to escalate risks.
  • Work well in a very busy team.

You must have:

  • Worked as a Data Wrangler or On-set Digital Imaging Technician within VFX, film & TV.
  • Post-production coordination.
  • 1+ years experience using Shotgrid to manage assets and workflow.
