The Role:
The Finance Manager will play a critical role in tracking and analyzing inventory and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for AMD’s Datacenter and AI initiatives. Reporting to senior leadership, this individual contributor position supports financial reporting, strategic planning, and key decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Model and track Business Unit inventory for quarterly reporting, variance analysis, and AOP/LRP deliverables.
- Conduct strategic and ad hoc analysis for inventory supply-demand planning.
- Perform product cost model scenario analysis for both production and in-development programs.
- Collaborate with DCGPU business leaders to provide strategic and financial support for operating decisions.
- Develop and deliver clear, concise presentations with strategic recommendations to company leadership.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Proven ability to identify key issues, perform detailed analysis, and influence cross-functional teams.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and financial modeling; familiarity with SAP, Power BI, or SQL is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle ambiguity and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong aptitude for documentation.
- Knowledge of accounting and GAAP principles is essential; semiconductor industry experience is a plus.
Academic Credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA from a top-tier institution and/or CFA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in relevant finance roles.
